"The Gainesville Midland and Her Sister Short Lines"
The Gainesville, Jefferson & Southern (1872-1904) ........... identified 6 different locomotives owned by the
GJ&S
The Walton Railroad (1872-1884) ...................................... identified its one 5' gauge locomotive (pre-GJ&S)
Monroe Railroad (1904-1917) ............................................. identified its one locomotive (post-GJ&S)
Bostwick Railroad (1907-1912) ........................................... located partial info on a loco, a box

The Greene County Railroad(1912-1942) ........................... identified
its 7 locomotives
The Gainesville & North Western Railroad (1912-1933) .... identified its 8 locomotives
In the G&NW chapter, I discuss the Chestatee RR ............. identified its locomotive
The Gainesville Midland Railway (1904-1936) and the Gainesville Midland Railroad (1936-1959):
I have located 39 standard gauge locomotives (all but one steam) that were related to the GM including the fact that there were two GM 100s, the first having never been delivered. I have also located rail bus references - many are probably duplicates. I also have actual freight car numbers and types that were GM when it was sold to the SAL in 1959.
Locomotive rosters and photos of the current (1976 and 2001 and 2004) conditions of the line and grades.
